The project explores overlooked objects from everyday life and the layers of memory, identity, and power they can carry. Referencing ongoing global conflicts, the work reflects on how everyday objects can suddenly become essential, and how their meanings shift in times of crisis.

Tangible Memories
2023
I made the cassette oversized to serve a purpose: to amplify the volume of my fear of forgetting a memory. Forgetting, an uncontrollable and passive process. If I kept my memories in analog objects, these moments and individuals were undeniably real and tangible.

I Build A Museum
For My Grandmother
2026
The project explores how colonial history and authoritarian power become embodied in everyday objects. I create a collection of objects that carry layered and entangled influences. I refer to these as hybridity objects: “Folded August 15, Momotaro’s Hacienda” and “The National Language Family”. They carry traces of histories and systems that continue to shape Taiwanese identity.
Through a long process of making, I return to specific historical moments. In doing so, I begin to position myself in relation to my grandmother’s generation, entering a dialogue across time.
This degree project does not seek to provide a comprehensive history of Taiwan. Instead, it is a space where history remains lived, held and continually reactivated through objects. These objects mark my own position within history, a position that remains unfinished, uncertain, and still in the process of becoming.

Unboxing
2025
Inspired by an incident in Taiwan in 2024, this project explores how political and cultural messages can be embedded in everyday consumer goods. Familiar commercial packaging and promotional materials, including shipping boxes from Amazon and Temu and a Costco leaflet, are recreated as ceramic sculptures.
By transforming mass-produced objects into handmade forms, the works shift ordinary commodities into objects of reflection, revealing the subtle relationships between consumer culture, cultural identity, and power.

Childhood Revisited
2023-2024
This is a continued project about how I embarked on a journey delving into my awkward childhood memories. I see this project as an artistic expression and an exploration of self-discovery and the intricate relationship between art and therapy.
